"Doc Holiday"....Puppyville's Pride and Joy
Owned by: Carol Colbert Bell
After spending 16 months with my loveable little blue dog, Doc Holiday, I became more and more aware of his intelligence and athletic ability. My niece, Jennifer, had great success in agility with a standard Aussie, Dash, that was from the first litter out of my male, Elvis. Now Dash and Jennifer's mother, Stephanie, are traveling the country and my niece no longer has a dog to show. So, because I knew it would be good for both Doc and Jennifer, I made the difficult decision to send Doc to Carson City, Nevada to begin training with Jennifer. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but, to date, Doc is flourishing in his new surroundings after beginning agility training June 11, 2009.
And Doc continues to excel!!!!
It's been a little over a year and a half since my little blue dog left home to attempt his destiny. The day
finally came on August 18, 2010.
Could it have gone a bit smoother? Sure. But Doc's quirky, fun loving personality won him what can only be called a "cult following".
Jennifer entered him in 15 classes, five each day, certainly not a stretch by any means. The show entries were down a bit, surely because of the
economy, but picked up nicely each day. So all in all it was a good test of all he's learned and considering the "setbacks" he encountered,
what with Jennifer's broken foot and cracked vertebrae in her back, he didn't do all that bad.
But more than anything else, it was great fun being in absolutely gorgeous country with amazing weather. We had, in short, a ball.
And now for the results:

a pretty large group of followers. They simply can't wait to see what he'll do next!
